Simon And Garfunkel - The Sound Of Silence (1964)
Haunting, poetic, and quietly powerful, “The Sound of Silence” captures the alienation and unrest of a generation. Its stark beauty and lyrical depth have made it an enduring masterpiece. 🖤 Hello darkness, our old friend.

Simon & Garfunkel perform Scarborough Fair & Punky’s Dilemma on Fred Astaire TV Special from 1968
A very cool clip from a 1968 TV show (with Fred Astaire hosting) of S&G performing (miming to) Scarborough Fair/Canticle. Although unfortunately there is no footage of S&G actually performing or even miming to Punky's Dilemma this versions audio is completely different from the official version found on Bookends. This version of Punky’s has some nice added vocals, added harmony parts and is a completely different mix! If only their performance of America was included! Below is a description of the TV show from 1968. Fred Astaire hosts this surreal 1968 song-and-dance special which is informed by the psychedelic influences of the era. Highlights include the following: an opening dance number by Astaire and Barrie Chase on a set which contains oversized flower petals; the Young-Holt Trio perform "Mellow Yellow" accompanied by Astaire's dancing; Chase and the Herb Ross Dancers perform in front of abstract wooden sculptures to a haunting and distorted version of "Eleanor Rigby"; Sergio Mendes and Brasil '66 perform "A Few of My Favorite Things" while a woman in a genie outfit kneels beside Mendes' piano bench; Astaire, smoking a cigar, wearing a fake beard and moustache, joins Chase to perform a comic dance to "The Look of Love," while surrounded by a bevy of female Herb Ross dancers wearing sparkling outfits; Simon & Garfunkel perform "Scarborough Fair/Canticle" and "America"; Simon & Garfunkel then sing "Punky's Dilemma" -- Simon's elliptical ode to a floating cornflake -- as Astaire and Chase perform a soporific dance while garbed like futuristic flower children; Astaire, Chase, and the Herb Ross Dancers then perform a number to "Limehouse Blues," on a set that approximates a Western town which glitters inexplicably; Astaire sings the songs "Shootin' Box in Scotland" (Cole Porter), "I Love to Quarrel with You" (Irving Berlin), "Look to the Rainbow," and "When the Idle Poor Become the Idle Rich." The host then sings a traditional version of "Top Hat, White Tie and Tails," before dancing to an updated version of the song with the help of "the groovy sound of The Gordian Knot." The Gordian Knot -- five musicians wearing white turtlenecks and beads -- perform on a scaffold in front of a wall covered by large flowers while Astaire dances below in formal attire. Astaire concludes the program by thanking his guests. Includes commercials.

SIMON & GARFUNKEL - "The Late Great Johnny Ace" [unreleased, 1983]
Rare studio outtake from what was to be Simon and Garfunkel's reunion album, following the Concert in Central Park from 1981 and concerts around the world in 1982 and 1983. The album was due to be called either "Think Too Much" or "Hearts And Bones", and on the bridge of this song, Artie sings a harmony vocal before Paul Simon decided he would release the album (as "Hearts And Bones") as a solo LP after all and removed all traces of Artie's voice during final mixing sessions. Rough mixes of varying quality of songs featuring Garfunkel have been in circulation since the mid-90s. Here, in stunning quality, is what I suppose is the final mix of this great tribute to John Lennon (among other people).

Simon & Garfunkel 1967 College Radio Interview Raw, Uncut
Simon & Garfunkel 1967 college radio station Interview. Uncut and rough. One of their first inierviews following the breakthrough success of Sound of Silence and I Am a Rock. Listen to how Art Garfunkel responds to my question "How long do you think your fame will last?" Short answer with great insight. A spot on prediction. Their friendship hit troubled waters at the height of their fame, but from The Sound of Silence to Mrs Robinson they created some of the most memorable pop music If you're a fan of this group, you might appreciate Art Garfunkel's story about an unusual meeting with John Lennon: https://youtu.be/48KCKLrVH8g Bob Kaplitz www.kaplitz.tv

Simon and Garfunkel ( The Concert in Central Park 1981 ) Full Concert 16:9 HQ
Audio & Video both remastered by RE-MASTERPIECES. (from VHS tape) The Concert in Central Park, released in February 1982 on Warner Bros. Records, is the first live album by American folk rock duo Simon & Garfunkel. It was recorded on the 19th September 1981 at a free benefit concert on the Great Lawn in Central Park, New York City, where the pair performed in front of an audience reported at the time as 500.000 people. Later estimates determined that the maximum number of people who could fit in the park space was 48.500. A film of the event was shown on TV and released on video. Proceeds went toward the redevelopment and maintenance of the park, which had deteriorated due to lack of municipal funding. The concert and album marked the start of a three-year reunion of Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel.
