Art Garfunkel Jr. – Music as Legacy and Personal Journey

Art Garfunkel Jr. represents the rare combination of musical heritage and his own artistic identity. As the son of Art Garfunkel, music has always been an integral part of his life—not just as a companion, but as an essential part of his personality. This page offers insight into his story, projects, and the close bond he shares with his father.

A Musical Journey from Childhood

From an early age, Arthur Jr. stood on stage with his parents. Art Garfunkel gently introduced his son to the spotlight, allowing him to sing small parts, such as in the classic “The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin’ Groovy).” Music was always a shared experience for them.

First Studio Recording as a Duet

An important milestone came in 1997 with the album Daydream – Songs from a Parent to a Child, where father and son first recorded the song “Good Luck Charm” together. This duet marked the beginning of a musical bond that continues to this day.

A Life Between Two Continents

Since 2006, Art Garfunkel Jr. has lived in Europe, where he has continued to build his own musical career. Despite the distance, his connection to his father remains strong—both personally and professionally. He visits New York several times a year, and continues to perform alongside Art Garfunkel whenever possible.

  • Raum des Schweigens (The Sound of Silence)

These duets not only reflect their familial closeness but also the musical legacy passed from father to son.

  • Sag mir, wo die Blumen sind (Where Have All the Flowers Gone)

  • Weit, so weit (Can’t Help Falling in Love With You)

These recordings showcase the emotional depth and musical harmony between the two artists.
