April 29, 2024 The Soundtrack Of Our Lives: A Tribute To The Legendary Clive Davis – Birthday Gala for Clive Davis, Carnegie Hall, New York As part of the gala honoring Clive Davis, Art Garfunkel and Art Garfunkel Jr. performed the Simon & Garfunkel classic Bridge Over Troubled Water together. The performance was met with minutes of applause from the audience.
Background
From a young age, Art Garfunkel involved his eldest son in his artistic world, bringing him along to rehearsals, recordings, and concerts.
Over the years, Art Garfunkel Jr. often shared the stage with his parents, captivating audiences with his vocal talent.
During Art Garfunkel’s In Close-Up Tour, his son occasionally joined him on stage whenever his schedule as a pop singer in Germany allowed, adding special moments of harmony and connection.
In return, Art Garfunkel has also attended concerts by his son. In 2023, for instance, he made a surprise appearance at a U.S. show, joining Art Garfunkel Jr. – and sometimes his wife – for an impromptu duet, delighting the crowd.
