Sitting, working beside Geoff Emerick,
hearing him speak of the "Pepper" album, I
remember the age of excitement. The badge
is still in my fingernail . . . We were out to
dinner with Ringo and others - Laurie and
I, in Hollywood, Moroccan place, Dar Mar-
greb, with towels on our laps and pitchers of
margheritas. Very drunk, I go to hit the
head, and slam the bathroom door on my
nail.
